JBDH is part of Malaysian Downhill Super Series
The official race series website is up !
Its a series of 5 races that is proposed to be held throughout Malaysia for the very first time. A joint effort from all parties involved in the MTB scene - especially the Downhill Fraternity.
This clearly sends out a message to everyone that anything is possible if we put our hearts and mind to it + some pocket change.
Thanks to Uncle Bully (Nan) for his time and effort to putting it up.

Professional Timing ! Tag Heuer
No more manual timing !
No more arguments as this system has capability to time an F1 car to 1000th of a second.
Live reports to give the riders and spectators some indication of the status to watch rather than wait for riders turn up out of the woods. At the same time everyone can with immediate effect view the results live as the riders cross the line !
Who is going to hold on to the hot seat ?

Pictures from Previous Race !
Very nice shots and the riders aren't camera shy :)
The pictures tell the race story themselves
.. Sunny, dusty, dry and an unforgiving track.
.. Riders pushing it hard for the glory
.. Man and machine against time !

Soon To Come - Past Winners listing
2009 saw Tan Hong Chun rip apart the trail and take away the Championship. His blistering time of 1 min 46.354 sec was almost 6 seconds ahead of the next rider clearly setting his mark as the man to beat this upcoming race.
Hasnan Badi, our beloved Uncle Bully beat the other masters to a fast run of sub 2 minutes, clocking 1 min 58.640 sec. Whoever said the old guys were slow... try racing him.
Will they(The 2009 Winners) be able to defend their titles ?
Will there be a new champion crowned for the event ?
For the first time, the teams will be also be acknowledged for supporting their riders !

First Mt Austin Race - 2009 Race Report
Mt Austin, Johor Bahru Downhill Challenge 2009
Johor Bahru DH Challenge is a downhill mountain biking racing event that was organized on the 7th and 8th January 2009 at Mt Austin, Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia.
The event was jointly organized by Element Cycle and the local biking groups and retailers. The response to the inaugural DH race was very good. Despite the events shortcomings of limited preparation time and organizers experience; the participants, spectators and retailers were satisfied on the outcome of the overall event.
The main intention of the event is to introduce and generate local interest in the relatively new Cycling experience of Mountain Biking especially in the Downhill discipline. It is also the organizers intention to meet, exchange ideas and develop the sport further for the betterment of the community.
The location chosen for the event is specifically intended to be close to the urban location to enable access to required facilities such as accommodation, transport and medical facilities. The urban setting will also allow access to larger group of spectators. Traditionally mountain biking events are held in remote forest areas where access and facilities is limited.
Team Element is relatively new in the cycling establishment; however the team members carry collectively many years of riding, trail building and event organizing experience in overall. With the depth in experience and ideas, the team members decided to organize the first of its kind race in JB to enable the local riders and spectators to have a feel of the extreme sport of cycling called Downhill.
In total, 60 participants raced the inaugural event at Mt. Austin which saw participants from Malaysia and Singapore duel it out to an exciting finish.
The event was supported by the Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Johor Bahru, Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru and Local Authorities.
